Owner Recommendations - Spring/Summer & Fall Activities

Colorado is a real gem during the Spring/Summer & Fall. The weather is crisp and cool and there are tons of activities to do in the Vail/Beaver Creek area while staying at Moose Back Lodge. Here are just a few of our personal favorites:

Spend time in Edwards. It's a great little town with awesome shops and restaurants.
Ride the lift in Beaver Creek to the top of the ski hill and hike down, or ride your mountain bike down after enjoying the amazing view!
Ride on horseback to a great restaurant called Beano's Cabin (in the phone book). It's got great food and the ride is awesome. You don't have to ride by horse though; you can just enjoy the food. It’s only open for dinner (make reservations).
Ice skating (yes, even in the summer!). It starts at 6 PM in BC Village.
Have a drink at the Hyatt. It has an awesome view of the mountains, with couches to lounge in (only open until 10 PM).
The Hyatt Spa is wonderful; you can get your valet ticket validated and not pay for the valet parking!
Hiking, white water rafting, tennis, horseback riding are all nearby.
There is an Arrowhead neighborhood pool that is nice and they have poolside service for lunch.
The BC Rodeo is once a week in Avon during the summer. I've heard it’s a lot of fun!
Shopping and eating in BC Village is great. Spend an afternoon there if you can.
Make fondue (there are 2 brand new fondue makers at the house).
Ride bikes in the neighborhood (there are bikes for tenants to use in the garage). It's a gated community, so few cars come through, making it very safe.
Walk the Arrowhead trails that meander through the neighborhood, over streams, next to mountains, & the golf course. Beautiful!
Pick up a 'Dining Guide' at any restaurant. It has menus of most restaurants in the area.
Fly Fishing is supposed to be awesome!
There are usually neat outdoor art/music events in the summer in BC or Vail (check the local newspaper or go to www.beavercreek.com for more info)!
